Ways You Can Give

How Individuals, Families, Businesses, and Scouting Units

can contribute to Scouting in Western Colorado in 2017

Fair Share Campaign

This level of giving is designed for Scouting Units and provides a Professional District Adviser, Insurance (including liability, accident & sickness, and vehicle coverage for every youth and adult), Administrative Support through the Council service center (including communication systems, registration services, accounting services, Scout Shop services, and overhead), and training for volunteers.

Friends of Scouting

This level is personal and based on relationships with donors above and beyond the expected Unit “Fair Share”. FOS affords the Council to develop value added enhancements to Scouting that we could not otherwise afford such as scholarships, camperships, marketing, communications, and technology. Friends of Scouting is a meaningful way for individuals and businesses to support their charity of choice.

Endowing the future of our Council is achieved through the generosity of donors with the foresight to have their donation benefit Scouting in perpetuity. Gifts to the endowment are permanently restricted and never spent, only the interest earned is used annually to fund the Council. Honoring a loved one with a gift in their name is a great way to enter the Council endowment.

Keepers of the Flame

Financial or in-kind gifts made specifically toward the Spirit of Adventure Ranch (SOAR) ensures the accomplishments of recent years is not remembered merely as a bright moment in SOAR’s long history, but rather as the foundation for a SOAR of permanently greater scope and strength.

Vehicles, Appreciated Stock, Property, Planned Giving

Tools such as One-Car-One-Difference, Council brokerage accounts, and access to professional financial planners can help individuals with specific opportunities to support Scouting.
